The paper should be 4 full pages long about 1,500 words, in APA format (double spaced, 12 point font Times New Roman, citing sources). Please use in text citations with a works cited page at the end (the works cited page does not count as part of your total page count).

In text citations should look like this.. Blah blah blah resulted in lowering revenues 20% (Brabec, pg 65). So (author, page number) if it’s a book. If it’s a web article (author, year) is fine but then you must provide the link to the article on the works cited page.

There should be at least 3 citations a page.

For this paper, I want you to choose one of the illegal download services that have been out there (Napster, Limewire, Grokster, Grooveshark, etc.) and tell me what we learned from their being shutdown and what copyright law was violated and what we can learn from it.

OR

Choose a case of a song infringement like Blurred Line, The Way It Is, Ghostbusters, etc. and tell me whether you agree or disagree with the decision and why.

The paper should follow this form:

State the problem or the situation (page 1)

Discuss the various legal hurdles or issues that were in play and the challenges for both sides (pages 2 and 3)

Your Conclusion. Do you agree with the decision or not? (page 4)
