This paper has a broad topic which is meant to be developed by the writer of the essay. The only direction we are given is that we need to analyze the Novel Battle Royale by Koushun Takami and express how Love is a central theme of the novel. We need to express how the theme is present in the novel and how it relates to the real world society of Japan from the 1980’s-1990’s. We need to have textual evidence to support the claims made in the essay as well as research to prove the points being made. Make sure to utilize research to show how the issue is present in the real world. The theme again is Love and how love can overcome all odds. 

I have attached a pdf file of the entire book. There needs to be quotes from the text which demonstrate the Theme and also scholarly sources which also relate to the theme and how it existed in the real world.
