Part 1

A corporate “code of ethics” includes the standards defined by the corporation to provide behavioral expectations in specific situations. Does the “code of ethics” provide enough direction to make an ethical decision? Why or why not?

Part 2

Managers who make decisions must also think about the results of their actions. Based on systems theory a system is made up of a closed loop — when one action is taken it affects each part of the whole with a ripple effect. When a decision is made, each part of the loop is impacted. Discuss the impact of a specific decision that can be made within a closed loop — whether it is in your home or at work. Discuss how each part of the whole could be affected.
