1. Initiation – a starting point. Think of this starting point as a reason, a belief, or an event that is responsible for your decision to go to college.
2. Direction – a focusing or narrowing of your motivation. You had to select a major based on your interests, your desires, your strengths, and/or your intended career.
3. Maintenance – persistence. No doubt there have been times when you felt like quitting college or maybe you wondered if you were doing the right thing, but since you are taking this class, you have not quit yet- why?
