Draw connections between your peers’ experiences and goals and the relevance of the FASB Accounting Standards Codification system and the standard-setting process. Why is the FASB important within their careers or fields? How might a deeper understanding of the conceptual framework of financial reporting translate to personal or professional advantages for them?

Accounting plays an important role in my current position, where I am responsible for monitoring accounts for teaching and long term care services, reviewing financial productivity projections and approving disbursements during the fiscal year to ensure compliance within each division’s budget; just to name a few.

I haven’t taken an accounting class for many of years, but I look forward to refreshing my memory and learning more to allow me to maintain efficiency in my career.  I look forward to what this class has to offer and learn more from my peers and professor.
