In this unit, we continue to work on developing our own moral arguments specifically in application to roboethics and machine ethics. Complete the Unit VI Building Your Position Table to develop your own argument on roboethics or machine ethics.
Be sure to carefully reflect on and explain your premises in Column 3. You need good reasons to support your conclusions. Do not forget to identify your ethical framework or moral theory from the moral theories covered in Units I and II.
Complete your assignment in the assigned table. You are required to provide at least two sources to support your stance, one of which maybe the textbook. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary.

Unit VI Project: Building Your Position Table Complete the table by following the directions below and typing your responses into the table: At the top of the table (Issue): Be sure to state the issue. Don’t forget an issue represents both sides. In Column 1: Should conscious artificial intelligences have rights? In one sentence, answer the question in 25 words or less. Your answer is your decision about the issue or your conclusion. In Column 2: Identify and define the ethical theories/framework from Units I and II you will be using to argue the morality of the topic (virtue ethics, consequentialism, etc.). In Column 3: Identify three reasons, or premises, why you hold the conclusion you do. In Column 4: Provide specific evidence for your argument. You can provide specific examples, statistics, facts or numbers. In Column 5: Reflect on possible weaknesses by addressing the following questions: Have you considered evidence for both sides fully? Do you suffer from any biases or emotional barriers when considering this topic? If so, identify them and explain how to minimize your barriers. Have you considered the weaknesses of the moral theory or theories you are using? Explain your answer. Note 1: An example of a completed Building Your Position Table is provided.
