According to a National Women’s Law Center report, the average cost of childcare for an infant has increased by 41% since 2018 to about $14,117 per year (NWLC.org, 2022). Paying for childcare can be a significant financial burden for a family with two working parents. One way to lure parents back into the workforce could be to offer onsite childcare. While the cost of setting up onsite childcare can be prohibitive for some employers, it may be worth the investment if it means attracting and retaining talented employees.
