Topic: President Trump last month announced his intention to increase tariffs on steel and aluminum
imports into the country from foreign nations. In your paper, address the following questions:
1. Briefly outline Mr. Trump’s plan for increasing the tariffs and what countries are primarily
affected by the increases.
2. Discuss the reactions from both American companies and foreign governments to the increased
tariffs.
3. Give one pro and one con of the increased tariffs.
4. Do you agree with Mr. Trump’s plan? Why or why not?
