Written Assignment: Choosing a Strategy:

Part of effective lesson planning involves selecting strategies to incorporate into your lessons. As with the lesson plan itself, the implementation of these strategies will need to be flexible enough to accommodate situations as they arise, and allow for adjustments as necessary.

For this assignment, you will practice selecting and implementing a specific strategy into a lesson plan. In a paper of 3-5 pages, please complete the following:

• Select one strategy from the first seven that are listed in the Janet Allen’s Tools for Teaching Content Literacy flip book.
• Summarize this strategy as you conceptualize it.
• Describe how you would incorporate this strategy into your lesson.
• Explain how this strategy would support student learning and ultimately strengthen your lesson.
