socrate s virtue

For Socrates, virtue is necessary for happiness, and virtue is sufficient for happiness. You may not be a supermodel or the most financially successful person in the world, but if you are honest, wise, fair, courageous and self-controlled, your life and character will merit praise and respect. If you go beyond simplistic common sense and skill yourself in reason, you can become truly wise. If you cultivate courage, wisdom, justice, and self-control throughout your entire life, then even if you achieve nothing else, you will have lived a truly meaningful life.

In the reading and Apology video, Socrates is trying to prove his innocence to the Athenians and argue he is doing the right thing by asking questions of their assumptions of wisdom. What, from his perspective, is the problem that most of his fellow citizens have and how can philosophy help? What are the values that Socrates defends? Do you agree with Socrates or disagree? Why or why not? What kind of knowledge and virtue is required for a meaningful life? Why?

internship front of the house service assignment

Please write this two assignment regarding the internship proposal paper!!!!!! Need to be at least 2 pages per assignment, with double spaced. please feel free to contact me with any questions. Also please make sure no plagiarism, thank you so much. This assignment covers Front of the House Service (FOH) – it asks questions regarding the job duties for the host and wait positions as well as counter service and bar ops – the answers may be submitted on web campus using separate sheets in essay form or on the question sheets. Copying the job description from a procedure manual or company website for any of these assignments will result in zero points for the assignments. The objective of these assignments is to allow the intern to ask relevant questions while observing these service positions in order to learn how they should be performed according to the Company’s or independent operator’s policies.. There is an art to properly seating and spacing the number of guests during any meal, same with the wait staff taking an order, placing an order, or providing a beverage.. Students will learn that additional pre and post meal responsibilities are required for each service position.

Essays with 2 or more pages for each report could result in a grade of A- or A. I am not looking just for volume but also content..

Here is an example: I have taken a question from the purchasing ones found under assignment 6. It asks who is responsible for purchasing at your internship site. If the answer is “our manager” that answers the question and if the other questions are also answered with a short answer it will be graded in the C to C+ range. To increase the grade to a B or higher I expect a more detailed explanation. For example after answering “our manager” an example going into more detail would be “while our manager does order all the food in case s/he is not on site our lead cook has been trained and has the authority to place orders. I asked our manager why s/he places all the orders and was told as s/he was the owner s/he wanted to keep a financial check on what is ordered as well as have the ability to shop for the best price amongst purveyors and it was felt if this responsibility was turned over to the staff they might not shop for the best prices as diligently as if they owned the operation.

Another example is found under the Host question – “Does your establishment accept reservations?” the answer might truly be “no” and if that is the answer and the student moves on and answers the other questions similarly the grade will be in the C to C+ range – instead what might be added is “our customers are mostly local who visit us once or twice a month for either breakfast or lunch and our owners do not feel taking reservations for those meal periods are necessary s/he did say for a customer who is a regular and known to us they would on occasion reserve a 4 top ”

I hope that gives each student a better understanding of how the reports will be graded. I want to add the questions found in the attachments are meant to be general as it is rare to have students doing an internship that covers each question exactly therefore add additional information or questions that are not included in each attachment to your report.. Students usually ask “how many pages are required” I do not have minimum or maximum number of pages. I found students submitting anywhere from 3-5 pages for assignments 5,6,7 usually have the highest grade whether those pages are single or double spaced. I consider 5,67 to be the crux of why you are on site attempting to observe and learn as much as possible. Note 5.67 are limited to 10 points each – the same value as the E Books which should help with your final grade.

NOTE: THE INFORMATION GATHERED TO COMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS 5,6,7 MUST BE OBTAINED BY OBSERVING AND COMMUNICATING WITH THE ON SITE STAFF AND/OR MANAGMENT PERSONNEL RESPONSIBLE FOR PERFORMING THESE DUTIES. USING JUST TEXTBOOK DESCRIPTIONS OR OUTSIDE SOURCES AS THE SOLE BASIS OF THE REPORT’S CONTECT WILL RESULT IN THE REPORT BEING REJECTED AND GRADED AS A 0 SCORE.
