Think of an organization you have worked for or one with which you are very familiar. Diagnose the need for change and present a plan to transform the organization, utilizing Kotter’s 8-Step Approach.

You will need to research the Kotter 8 Step Change Model extensively. You are encouraged to first review this article (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. You may select any organization or department where you work or where you have previously worked; however, you are strongly encouraged to diagnose one problem area in the company. Attempting to diagnose an entire company is not feasible, and you will become bogged down.

If you choose a company similar to Walmart to analyze, select just one area that you think needs improvement. For example, Walmart is now very strong in online shopping, yet there are still glitches in the system. Delivery times are often late, the packaging method has problems, and some products come from unknown vendors that Walmart does not guarantee. We may know this from personal experience, but that is not enough. Statements, opinions, and experiences must be supported with valid sources. There are many articles online that you can review easily and quickly.

Your sources for this paper must include research for the company you choose, a valid source for the Kotter model, and your textbook. You are encouraged to read as many articles as you can find and contact the Ashford librarians for guidance. There is bias, missing or incorrect information, and contradictory material in most Internet material. The amount of material can be confusing, but wade through it and question everything.

Include the following sections headings and additional sections as needed:

  1. Introduction
  2. Company Overview
  3. Diagnosis
  4. Kotter’s 8-Step Approach
  5. Conclusion

The Final Paper for the course must be submitted to the instructor by 11:59 p.m. of the time zone in which you reside on the last day of the class.

Writing the Final Paper
The Final Paper:

  1. Must be eight- to- ten double-spaced pages in length (excluding the title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.
  2. Must include a title page that includes:
    1. Title of paper
    2. Student’s name
    3. Course name and number
    4. Instructor’s name
    5. Date submitted
  3. Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.
  4. Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
  5. Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.
  6. Must use at least five scholarly sources.

Initial Review (10 points):
By the end of Module 1, post any questions about the content or requirement of the Portfolio assignment to the questions thread. If you have no questions, acknowledge that you have read the assignment by selecting which Portfolio Project you will do and post it to the Module 1 Critical Thinking Assignment in the posts section.

First Draft (20 points):
You will be required to submit a draft of your proposed Portfolio Project by the end of Module 5. It must be at least 4 pages or 4 slides in length in a Word or PowerPoint document, with an additional bibliographic list, properly APA-formatted, of the sources for that project. Additionally, you will be expected to account for the instructor’s feedback in the final version of the assignment.

In Module 8 you complete your Portfolio assignment. In it, develop a plan to fund your own new small business. Include at a minimum the following:

  • description of the proposed business, including your reasoning for starting the business
  • pertinent business plan information for large capital asset requirements
  • a determination of how much capital the company will need, and time frame
  • government aid that may be available
  • an evaluation of legal issues such as the types of ownership, liabilities, and compliance with laws
  • an accounting of how you applied the instructor’s feedback from your draft submitted in Module 5

Present your information in at least an 8-slide PowerPoint presentation with notes plus title and reference slides, or 8-page Word document plus title page, abstract, and reference page. Whichever method you choose, cite at least 4 outside resources (.org and .com sites are not to be used, but books, journal articles, .edu and .gov sites should be considered as possible avenues for resource materials) in addition to the course text and materials you studied in Modules 1-7, including feasibility analyses, business plans, and valuation of the business.

This, and all other course Portfolio Projects, will become an important part of your individual Program Portfolio.

You should begin to consider your Portfolio Project in Module 1. Start an outline of the information you wish to discuss. As more material is covered in future modules, you can add to what you have started.

Here is a sample power point presentation that will provide you added guidance in creating your slide presentation for this assignment. Of special note is that all presentations need substantial speaker’s notes inserted under each slide in the speaker’s notes section. Good luck in creating a “high impact presentation” for your audience!

In your answer please provide a separate outline for Module 1. for the 10 points

You will be required to submit a draft of your proposed Portfolio Project for Module 5. for the 20 points.

Create a slide for module 8.

write a text about international studies

There’s an old joke among economists: “There are four types of economy in the world: capitalist, communist, Japan, and Argentina.”

China and Iran are ancient empires which see themselves at the center of civilization. Poland (like Ukraine) has been victim of powerful neighbors. Afghanistan has fought off imperial powers over and over again. And the British (like the Japanese) are an island people.

Find us another good example of how geography (the precise position of a country on the globe, and its neighbors) makes history and overshadows culture and politics.

yoga fit segmentation marketing

You must have a minimum of TWO segments for Yoga.Fit

Your analysis should include:

1. A narrative description of each of the segments. You are required to give each a name. For example, if I were segmenting older consumers for a pet product I might have “Empty Nesters” or “Little Old Lady Cat Lovers”. This narrative is usually a oneparagraph summary of the segment’s profile.

2. How you are segmenting the groups (demographics, psychographic, geographic or other criteria) including the characteristics of your target segments. Be VERY specific and use no less than four demographic and four psychographic variables for each of your segments.

You may use any combination of text, charts and graphs you wish to accomplish parts 1 and 2. However, be sure that it is clear what, and who, comprise your segments.

NOTE: Segmentation is discussed extensively in Module 4. Do NOT attempt this assignment until you have completed all of Module 4.

Segmentation example

NOTE: This example is written for a product called Staycation.com. It is an online vacation planner for consumers taking their vacations at home. This is a common phenomenon in the current economy.

You are required to have TWO segments. This example has four. The chart is only an example – you may set yours up differently.

Childless Couples (Young Adventurers)

The Young Adventurers group is comprised of young adult couples who are mostly just starting out on their own. Young couples are typically known to have financial hardships (even without children) for various reasons. These reasons might include young people being typically employed in entry-level positions with corresponding salaries. On top of this, some may have bills and debt from various sources such as vehicles and student loans. They may neither possess the finances nor the large amounts of vacation time from their jobs to take a conventional vacation.

Single Parents (Jugglers)

Jugglers have it pretty rough. They have to balance the time between caring for their loved ones and providing for them. Throughout the year, Jugglers do not have a lot of time to bond with their children because they are essentially doing the work of two parents, even though there is only one of them. At the end of the day, Jugglers can be wound to the limit. Taking the time to connect with members of a Juggler family can be of great benefit when it comes to avoiding dysfunction. Familial bonding creates memories that show that there is more to life than the programmed rat-race existence that the Juggler family members may be used to.

Dual Parents (Tag-teamers)

Tag-teamers do not have it quite as bad as Jugglers, but that doesn’t necessarily meanthey have it easy. Some families may have started out young. That means the kind of work available for the young parents may often be blue-collar jobs (mid-level-paying jobs that do not require a college degree or any specialized training). In other families, only one of the parents may be employed, in which case the other parent also becomes one more mouth to feed in the family. While juggling the time between caring for their children and providing for them is not as big an issue in most Tag-teamer households, it is still important for family members to socialize and have fun together, especially while children are young.

Older Couples (Empty-Nesters)

Of all the target couples, Empty-Nesters probably enjoy the most freedom. This group is composed of older adults who either never had children, or no longer have children under their care. Given the proper financial resources, Empty-Nesters can pick up and leave just about any time they like. The only thing that stands in between Empty-Nesters and a
