Part 1 For your recommendation of an agreement with the company can you explain more about in a little more detail for me on how you would hope this would work?  Are you looking into an appropriate contract for the type of work to be done or an agreement for lowering costs?  I know that there are agreements already but it is up to the insurance company on what would be covered and the flat rate for everyone not including information of anyone’s current health conditions.  There are also many different contracts with compliance agreements out there that vary on what care is to be received from the physician and the healthcare provider.  For example there can a pricing agreement and there are times where the employer will choose to get the price that covers the basics for a persons health without going into more depth on what the other pricing are and the type of coverage that you will be given if something does happen to you outside or inside of work.

Part 2 As you have mentioned in your post, “…employers should come into an agreement with the healthcare providers to ensure that the healthcare insurance rates are reduced”. In keeping with what you have stated, there are several employers who strive to provide their employees with the lowest rates possible for health insurance coverage. According to Willis Towers Watson (2019):
… [these employers] are focused on delivering health care to their employees through value-based designs and contracting that tie payments to quality care and health care outcomes—so cost is based on real results. This model aligns the patient’s and provider’s incentives toward efficient and effective care, preventing reoccurrence of illness and reducing complications, or—when treatment is needed—getting the patient the right care and the right site of service, sooner (para. 3).
One type of “value-based” design is bundling healthcare services (pre and post procedural care) into an “all in one” type price. In doing so, this can provide the insured with savings in addition to clarified and streamlined billing. Another strategy to lowering healthcare expense is to cut costs associated with the pharmacy. For those patients that need specialty drugs or infusion services, some employers have implemented the elimination of specialty pharmacy expenditures by grouping all medications into tier groups. Also, for infusion services, instead of having the patient travel back to the Specialists office or hospital for infusion services, infusions can take place at “pharmacy clinics” to lower costs of these services.
