The focus of this Seminar is to examine how to interpret data that has been gathered through community-needs assessments. You will also explore ways to gather information for community-needs assessments, and the role of secondary data sources related to community-needs assessments, and grant proposals.

1. A main piece of knowledge that comes out of a community-needs assessment may be a more comprehensive understanding of the community members. Justify why this type of information is so important to developing programs, and what role this information plays when writing a grant proposal.
2. It is important to consider any community partnerships that may be feasible for your organization once you have interpreted the findings from your community-needs assessment. Explore why this would be important, and determine how an organization could pursue potential partnerships in their community.
3. One of the aspects of interpreting the findings that you discover through completing a community-needs assessment is determining any barriers that may impact how you proceed with addressing the needs that you learned about. Assess some of the barriers that you may encounter, and how you would manage these barriers.
