Introduction

Parental involvement is a cornerstone of the education of any child, for a parent has a very important part to play in the child’s education. The child’s early years of development are very important for the cognitive and social-emotional development. The involvement of a parent in the child’s education creates a link between school and home environment. Parental involvement has for a long time been known to improve the behavior of the child, create a positive attitude, and promote regular attendance. The parent and caregiver’s support to a child makes the child feel more secure within the school environment. This makes the child appreciate the importance of education.

Thesis Statement

This study will analyze the various reasons for parent involvement in a child’s education and also find out the various ways of involving the parent in the child’s education.
